I.F.
Metalworks is experienced in producing quality electro-coating
racks that maximize productivity and coating quality in a
cost-effective manner. This fact has secured us an account
as the single source tooling supplier to Detroit
Electro-Coatings Co., LLC. a major Tier 1 e-coating facility.
Racks
can be produced from your designs, or you can let us put our
experience to work designing the right rack to hang any part.
We understand the demands of the e-coating process.what works
and what doesn't when it comes to hanging, running and unloading
parts. There is no "universal" rack when it comes
to larger parts, but racks can be made adjustable in many
cases and therefore versatile.
We
specialize in multi-unit racking for large and difficult-to-hang
parts such as body panels, engine cradles and suspension cross
members; thus allowing you to get maximum throughput from
your line while still maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
From engine brackets to full roofs to suspension cross members,
we've got the knowledge to work with you and deliver exactly
what you need, when you need it.
Below
are some examples of standard and application-specific designs.

in 60 lateral inches of line space. Parts hang vertically
at a precise inclineto correct a paint void.

This
safety rack allows the user to run seven foot roofs
on a line designed for a six foot max. part length,
and avoids hole-punching for hooks. A peg and pin provide
both positive location and redundant safety.
